In an Australian first, the Sydney Car Festival Show Car Auction is set down for the Sunday of the event.  The unique auction promises to be huge, with many people expected to take advantage of the opportunity to sell and bid for some of the most unique cars in Australia.

“The Show Car Auction is a huge coo for the Sydney Car Festival and the Australian car buff alike,” “There is a similar auction in the United States and over time it has been built up to attract cars and buyers from all over the world.”

The Sydney Car Festival “show car auction” is open to all after market modified vehicles of show quality. Both high quality street cars and high quality show cars will be accepted for this auction as well as some special interest vehicles.

Cars will be on display during the event on either the Show Car Auction stand or on the cars own display stand in the show car pavilion. Before the auction starts all the cars will be moved to the show car area for final inspection and then auctioning.

The auction will be conducted by Auto Group Auctions and a REVS check will be available for prospective buyers.  The auction will be held in the Dyno Building on Sunday the 30th of January at 3pm.

Those wishing to bid should visit the Auto Group Auctions trade stand located in the Dyno Building to;

  • Register to bid. Buyers will need to provide a current drivers licence and credit card to register. There is a buyer’s premium of $200.00 to be paid by the buyer on the fall of the hammer.
  • Pick up a copy of the Auction Terms and Conditions

All vehicles to be auctioned must be registered with the Sydney Car Festival office before the 14th of January. A catalogue will be available after this date on the web site or via the Sydney Car Festival office. All vehicle registrations must be accompanied by a photo and details of the car for the catalogue.

On arrival to the event the owner of the vehicle must present themselves to the Auto Group Trade Stand in the Dyno Pavilion along with a current drivers licence and registration papers for that vehicle. Sellers will also be required to sign an “intention to sell” form agreeing to sell the vehicle when the reserve price is met.
